We Praise thee, O God. We acknowledge thee to be the Lord. All the earth doth worship
thee, the Father everlasting. Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of the Sabbath. Heaven and
earth are full of thy glory.
This octavo in Latin is a hymn of praise to God. The familiar Te Deum has been abbreviated, and the music compositional style is similar to that of F. J. Haydn from the Classical period. This setting is composed to bring life to the chosen text. Appropriate voice-leading has been respected in composition, and therefore, the various sections are easily approached and developed. A pronunciation and translation guide has been provided for ease in mastering the Latin text.
