American poet Robert Frost provides the words for this scenic journey of beauty occurring on the evening of the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. A man who is likely on horseback takes an unusual journey by woods belonging to a person he might know. The horse is not quite sure as to why they are stopping, but the rider tarries for a while in the dark, snowy, quiet lure of nature. Whatever the journey’s destination, the horse and rider are miles and miles from their place of rest.
