Originally scored for solo soprano, this favorite by Fauré is arranged for 3-Part Mixed voices in a lower key, making it more accessible for middle school males. In this arrangement, men sing the melody at times, and sing in harmony with Part II at other times. Choral directors are encouraged to sing Pie Jesu at a tempo that would allow students to successfully sing musical phrases. Blessed Lord Jesus, give them rest everlasting (translation).
