The state song of my beloved “adopted home state” of Kentucky is sung with warmth and nostalgia at many events in the Commonwealth … the Kentucky Derby, varied sporting events, choral concerts, and other gatherings. Stephen Foster was a famous visitor to the Commonwealth, and we celebrate his “connection” in this arrangement of love, home, and family. Sing this piece with warmth and appreciation for a beautiful place many of us call “home.”
