This nineteenth century masterwork has been arranged with accompaniment that assists singers in melodic and harmonic movement as the piece journeys through interesting chords, suspensions, and resolutions. Students will find challenge in singing phrases with appropriate syllabic inflection, phrase structure, and beauty. Bruckner’s text describes a place of worship, but all students will be able to relate to the place where peace, serenity, balance, and mystery are present.
