Kyrie, Alleluia is an original setting that emphasizes liturgical pleas “Lord, have mercy,” “Christ, have mercy,” and includes an element of praise (Alleluia). Why praise? The “Alleluia” is generally not included in the “Kyrie” text. The “Alleluia” represents the faith that there are better days ahead…the Lord is sure to hear our pleas for help. In these days of uncertainty, it is faith in our Lord and fellow human beings that sustains us in uncertain times…Alleluia.
