The poetry of Sara Teasdale (1884-1933) provides the text for this SSA setting. Although the “story of Sara” is quite sad, we caught Sara on a good day…she is happy, and your women’s choir will delight in being happy with her. This setting is an exercise in singing 4ths and 5ths. It incorporates imitation, canon-like material, and some unison as well. Middle school and high school SSA choirs can successfully sing this upbeat testament of joy!
