This chorus from Handel’s Messiah has been arranged considering the voices of middle school singers and beyond. Voice-leading and accompaniment have been simplified, and harmonies are retained. The result is an abridged version of the original. Popular motives are retained and assigned to various voices. Melismas are simplified and some are arranged in homophonic textures. The purpose is to provide more singers an opportunity to perform this great masterwork!
