This hauntingly beautiful original setting features stunning melodies and full, rich sonorities which convey the resolve of one who has lost the love of another.  This is an excellent piece to teach choirs how to sing with emotion and expression through choral performance in which sadness and longing amidst the resolve of one’s heart contribute to the formation of an artistic endeavor.  Choral techniques to be taught through this piece include, syllabic inflection in the midst of phrases, energy through phrases, and phrase movement toward the musical “moment.”  A superb showpiece for treble choirs!
