Part 2 of "Three Carols for Christmas"

Good King Wenceslas
This familiar carol exemplifies Christian servanthood, and can promote  discussion regarding ministry to people who are hungry and in need of care during the holiday season.  The Good King decides to meet a need, sets out on the journey, and though surrounded by difficulties, continues on until the need is met……all to receive the blessing that comes when we become the hands and feet of Christ in our world.  This carol describes the King’s ministry hundreds of years ago, and also seems to inspire us today, as we become aware of others’ needs, then create a plan whereby we can meet those needs.
