This original setting of the Isaiah text celebrates the jubilant expectation of “the promised One,” brought into focus by the Advent Season.  The choir and handbells “ring in” the season by playing the handbells as they process into worship.  The energy is contagious, and soon the entire congregation will wait expectantly for the Christ Child to appear. So ring, and “Arise and Shine!”  This piece was written in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church in Danville, Kentucky.
