The state song of my beloved “adopted home state” of Kentucky is sung with warmth and nostalgia at many events in the Commonwealth…the Kentucky Derby…varied sporting events…choral concerts, and other gatherings. Stephen Foster was a famous visitor to the Commonwealth, and we celebrate his “connection” in this arrangement of love, home, and family. Sing this piece with warmth and appreciation for a beautiful place many of us call “home”.
